The Cooks

I first met the Cooks on the coldest day of 2012 for their engagement shoot. Mark, a coach and teacher, with a passion of helping those around him and Ashley, an event planner, with a matching drive to make the world a better place. These were two people that lit up every room they walked into.  And they didn't mind the cold a bit. In fact, when looking at their pictures you would NEVER have know it was below 0 and dropping during our shoot.

Fast forward nine months to one of the most fun, thoughtful, detail-oriented weddings I have ever been to.  The day was on the chilly side but that didn't stop the outdoor wedding on the porch of a local bed and breakfast. Ashley and Mark had put such thought and care into this special day and it showed.  From the "Cook"ie Bar, where they had an assortment of their favorite cookies, to their custom designed wine bottles -- for guests to sample post ceremony -- the day was full of the details in Mark and Ashley's life.

The day was perfect. It was full of memories and laughter, tears and dancing.  It was emotion. It was romantic. In one word: unforgettable. And that day, and every day since I am beyond thankful they allowed me into their world for the day and gave me the honor of capturing one of their most memorable days together.
